The Fox Writers Intensive (FWI) is an initiative designed to nurture experienced writers with diverse voices, backgrounds and life experiences and creates a solid pipeline of well-rounded talent for potential staffing on Fox television shows, films and other Fox entertainment platforms. The initiative offers experienced writers a rigorous, four-month curriculum focused on 1) developing original material; 2) learning and honing writing skills for multiple mediums; and 3) exploring the business of media and entertainment. Upon successful completion, FWI finalists receive priority-staffing meetings for the dedicated Fox Staff Writer position on Fox Television Group Productions. Annually, one FWI Fellow is awarded either a purchase and development deal on his/her original script or a “first-look” deal from Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) or one of the Fox affiliated production entities.

2016 submissions and submission criteria will be announced this Fall.
Launched Fall 2014, the Fox Global Directors Initiative is a partnership with Fox Audience Strategy and 21st Century Fox dedicated to cultivating emerging and established directors and championing diverse voices and perspectives spanning filmed entertainment, broadcast television, cable television, sports and digital media. This multi-year initiative leverages the expertise and commitment of the Company’s leadership and creative talent across its entertainment businesses, including Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX, Fox Broadcasting Company, Twentieth Century Fox Film, Fox International Channels and many of its international entertainment businesses. FDI partners with a wide range of creative and advocacy organizations as well as with 21st Century Fox entertainment businesses to source talent of diverse backgrounds, visions and perspectives. Participating Fox businesses select and mentor fellows from a vast and diverse pool of talent through a ten (10) month long platform that includes the Fox Directors Lab. Since it's inaugural year, the initiative has been focused on cultivating emerging and established directors, and amplifying female perspectives across features and episodic television.

The IMAGES Speakers Series is a year long initiative spanning all of 21st Century Fox entertainment businesses including filmed entertainment, broadcast television, cable television, sports and digital media. These high profile, internal events are co-hosted by cross divisional senior leadership and are customized to explore and highlight cultural and creative trends, current events, and people whose artistic excellence shift perceptions and business perspectives to spur creative innovation. This specific platform is a vehicle for diverse, provocative, vibrant, and illustrative conversations on the interdisciplinary, artistic cornerstones of storytelling throughout diverse communities – the disciplines that continue to serve as a reflection of contemporary life. Artists and special guests in the fields of art, dance, music, literature, fashion, cinema and technology are frequent participants at these internal speaker series.

The FOX | HBCU Media Alliance nurtures and promotes a growing and dynamic pipeline of talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) for executive and creative career opportunities across the 21st Century Fox entertainment businesses. FOX | HBCU Media Alliance membership is open to HBCU students, alumni, faculty and staff, as well as, “friends of” HBCU.  The FOX | HBCU Media Alliance serves as an executive and creative resource across the Fox entertainment businesses and as a substantive platform to engage the creative talent and content providers that are members of the global HBCU community.
